This website is about the NASA Local Post (NLP) and Space City Cover Society (SCCS), a private group formerly based in Houston, Texas, that created local post stamps and First Day Covers relating to space exploration of the past, present and future.   NASA Local Post (NLP) and the Space City Cover Society (SCCS) were in business from 1967 to approximately 1982.

The president of the NASA Local Post (NLP) and Space City Cover Society (SCCS), Harry L. Anderson of Houston, Texas, passed away in January of 2010.   The status of the NASA Local Post (NLP) and Space City Cover Society (SCCS) is believed to be out of business, however the actual status is not known.

The NASA Local Post (NLP), Space City Cover Society (SCCS) and the site author and webmaster are not related in any manner to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, a United States governmental agency.

The author and webmaster of this site is also not related in any manner to the NASA Local Post (NLP) and Space City Cover Society (SCCS), other than being a collector of their material that was produced.

There is very little information available on the NASA Local Post (NLP) and Space City Cover Society (SCCS) and this website presents what information is known and showcases the items that have been produced.
