NASA Local Post Cancels

From the first issue, M-1-NLP, released on February 20, 1967, to the Private Express Mail Booklet series, NASA Local Post has used three different cancels in several colors.   Space City Cover Society and the Space City Courier Service held the Houston Texas Mailer’s Postmark Permit (MPP) #1.   A Mailer's Postmark Permit is a cancellation applied by a mailer to a piece of mail before depositing it with the USPS for mailing.

NLP Cancel 1

Cancel 1 featuring an Apollo Command Module heading into Earth orbit over the State of Texas has been found in six colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Purple and Red.
